Corina Medina

Corina Medina is an Operations Coordinator at Blue Shield of California Foundation. In this position, she is responsible for accounts payable, contracts, and performing various administrative duties.

Previously, Corina worked in the Ravenswood City School District as a parent liaison to BIPOC and immigrant families, working to bridge the communication between school and home by helping parents get the information and support they need to ensure their child's academic and social success in school. Prior to her time in Ravenswood, Corina worked at Youth United for Community Action (YUCA) in East Palo Alto, where she increased awareness and organized community in fighting for environmental, racial and economic justice for BICOP.

Born in Mexico and raised in California, Corina studied sociology and ethnic studies at De Anza College and is working toward project management and regenerative agriculture certifications. She spends her free time growing an organic medicinal herb garden where she educates community in creating plant medicine and connecting with ancestral knowledge.
