Joy Ajama

Joy Ajama, MPH, is an accomplished Program and Project Manager at Blue Shield of California, where roles include Principal of the Medi-Cal PMO and Consultant within the same office since July 2020. Joy's leadership development experience includes a two-year rotational program that provided exposure across various sectors of the health insurance industry. Prior experience at Boston University School of Public Health involved project management for the Gulf War Illness Consortium and coordination for the launch of the Population Health Exchange. Additional consultancy roles included a strategic communication plan for Blue Hills Community Health Alliance and Lean Six Sigma consulting at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Joy holds a Master’s Degree in Health Policy and Management from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
