Kahliah Laney

Kahliah Laney is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience across various healthcare and media organizations. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist at Blue Shield of California since January 2025, Laney previously held roles including Director of Communications at ZoomCare and Internal Communications Manager at MultiCare Health System. Expertise includes crafting and executing strategic communication plans, advising on communications initiatives for executive leaders, managing crisis communications, and developing engaging content across multiple platforms. With earlier experience at Virginia Mason Medical Center, Strategies 360, NYU Langone Health, ABC News, and the Center for an Urban Future, Laney has consistently demonstrated effective communication strategies and multimedia storytelling. Kahliah Laney holds an MA in Journalism from the City University of New York and a BA in English and Sociology from the University of California, Davis.
