Jessica Strong

Jessica Strong has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Jessica currently works at Blue Star Families as the Senior Director of Applied Research since February 2022. Prior to this, Jessica served as the Co-Director of Applied Research at Blue Star Families from July 2020 to February 2022. Jessica also worked as the Senior Research Manager from October 2019 to July 2020 and as a Research Analyst Staff from February 2019 to October 2019. Before joining Blue Star Families, Jessica was a Consultant - Research Analyst at Blue Star Families from December 2017 to February 2019.

In addition to their role at Blue Star Families, Jessica has experience working at UNC Wilmington as an Assistant Professor / Lecturer since August 2012. Jessica also has experience as a Crisis Counselor at Youth Villages from January 2018 to December 2019.

Jessica Strong earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Fayetteville State University from 2007 to 2008. Following this, they pursued further education and attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013.
