Dan Wechsler

Dan Wechsler, a seasoned Healthcare executive with 28 years of experience, has joined BSIP as a partner leading Healthcare investments. In addition to BSIP, Dan serves as the Executive Chairman of Navaderm, a BelHealth Partners investment focused on Dermatology. Dan also serves on the Board of Southern Orthodontic Partners, sponsored by Shore Capital. In addition, Dan is also an Operating Partner at Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe.

Previously, Dan was CEO and President of SmileBrands, a Dental service organization with over 500 million in revenue, and 4500 employees across the US. Dan led the successful sale of SmileBrands to Gryphon Partners in 2016. In 2010, Dan joined Bausch and Lomb, owned by Warburg Pincus and WCAS, as EVP and Global President. He led the growth of Bausch and Lomb through the sale to Valeant Pharmaceutical in 2015. Previously, he was GVP of Merck & Co, leading Strategy and Customer Innovation. Prior to Merck, Dan was EVP of Schering Plough, responsible for Global Operations across over 100 countries. Dan started his career at the Upjohn Company, which was purchased in 2003 by Pfizer, where Dan led Oncology, Ophthalmology, HIV, Women’s Health and Cardiovascular for the US.
