Lisa Brett has over 10 years of experience in the user experience and product design fields. Lisa began their career in 2007 as a User Experience Strategist for a health care institution and a religious organization/publishing company. In 2008, they became the Director of User Experience and Design at Electronic Arts, where they led a team of 4 user experience designers across 3 continents. From 2009 to 2011, they served as a User Experience Consultant for a variety of companies, including a network/infrastructure company, a recipe/community site, an online learning/animation company, a sports community/social games start up, and a children's educational/game site. In 2011, they became a [Master] User Experience Lead at Hewlett-Packard, where they led the user experience of Dream initiatives and redesigned HP.com's enterprise/B2B online presence. From 2012 to 2014, they were a User Experience Consultant at User-Ability.com. In 2014, they became a Principal Information Experience Developer at Citrix. From 2015 to 2016, they held various roles at Elementum SCM, Livefyre, West Coast Great Pyrenees Foundation, and Blue Startups, including Product Design Manager, Director of Product Design, Executive Director, and Director of Mentorship Programs.

Lisa Brett's education history includes attending the International School of Bangkok from 1969 to 1973, Sacred Hearts Academy from 1973 to 1977, Woodstock School from 1976 to 1977, and Linfield University from 1977 to 1979. Lisa also attended the University of Denver from 2002 to 2004, where they studied Applied Computing.
