James Levy

James Levy is an accomplished artistic director and educator in the field of vocal music, serving as the Artistic Director and Founder of the Kansas City A Cappella Association since April 2011, which ranks among the top ten contemporary vocal a cappella groups nationally. Levy has been a Vocal Music Teacher for the Blue Valley School District since August 2017 and previously held similar positions within the Grandview C-4 School District and Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. Additionally, Levy directs music at John Knox Presbyterian Kirk and oversees the J Camp Theatre Camp at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in Educational Studies from Washburn University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from The University of Kansas.
