Dema Helou has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2011, they interned at BAHA Consultant Engineering. In 2012, Dema worked as a waitress at Casablanca Restaurant and also did private tutoring as a freelance role. In 2013, they worked as a medical assistant at Neurology Outreach Clinics, LLC, and also served as a graduate research assistant at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. From 2015 to 2018, Dema worked at UCS, first as a junior clinical engineer and later as a senior clinical engineer. From 2018 to 2022, they held the position of senior manager at Sigma Health Consulting, LLC, where they provided expertise in healthcare consulting. Currently, Dema is employed as a project manager at Blue Water Thinking since 2022.
Dema Helou's education history begins with their high school education at Harding Academy of Memphis from 2004 to 2008. Following that, Dema pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University, completing their studies from 2008 to 2012.
Subsequently, Dema enrolled in The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from 2013 to 2015.
In addition to their formal education, Dema also obtained two certifications. They acquired the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2019. Prior to that, in October 2012, they attained the Engineer-in-Training certification from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.
