Saskia Van Gendt

Saskia van Gendt currently serves as Chief Sustainability Officer at Blue Yonder, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this, Saskia was the Head of Sustainability at Rothy's from February 2020 to August 2023, and previously held the role of Senior Director of Sustainability at method products pbc from February 2013 to December 2019. In this capacity, Saskia defined global sustainability strategies, developed product standards, and led initiatives on renewable energy and zero waste certification. Earlier experience includes serving as Sustainable Materials Manager at the US Environmental Protection Agency from September 2006 to January 2013, where Saskia focused on quantifying improvements in the packaging supply chain. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Northwestern University, and additional studies at Leiden University.
