William Herold is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Bluebeam Software, Inc. since February 2015, William has implemented global authentication and identity management systems for over two million customers and successfully transitioned the team to a cloud-based CI/CD pipeline. Prior to Bluebeam, William held senior engineering roles at Extensis, Sage, etrieve, Inc., and Microsoft, leading impactful projects such as the design and development of the Suitcase font manager and a business intelligence service for the Sage CRE 300 suite. Early career experience includes consulting for high-profile European clients at Visio Corporation, where William contributed to the creation of Visio 1.0. William holds a BS in Computer Science from The Evergreen State College.
