Morris Chen

Morris Chen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Morris started their career in 2004 as an Engineer at Filmetrics, where they handled assembly, troubleshooting, and support of thin-film measurement systems. Morris also had direct customer interactions and sales responsibilities.

From 2005 to 2008, Morris worked as a Test Engineer at SAIC. In this role, they prepared detailed test plans and procedures, provided user training, and coordinated testing requirements across teams.

Morris then joined Yahoo! in 2008 as a Software QA Engineer. Morris was responsible for testing the online paid search engine and contextual ad serving products. Additionally, they worked on the operability tools team, creating reporting, performance, and analysis tools for the PM and Sales teams.

In 2010, Morris joined Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer in Test II. Morris supported the contextual ad serving platform, focusing on serving relevant online ads. Morris played a crucial role in production launches for feature releases.

From 2015 to 2016, Morris worked as a Business Analyst at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies. Morris gathered business requirements, developed system specifications, and collaborated with clients and IT QA staff to execute user acceptance test plans.

Currently, Morris is at Bluecore, where they started in 2016. Morris began as a Senior Software Engineer in Test before being promoted to Manager of Engineering Operations in 2018 and then to Director of Engineering Operations in 2020.

Morris Chen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2000 to 2004.
