Data Engineer I at BlueLabs

Walter May has a diverse work experience in data analytics and research. Walter started their career as a Research Assistant at the Immigration Policy Lab in 2018. In 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford University, supporting Professor Tomás Jiménez. Later that year, they transitioned to a Research Assistant role at Stanford University Political Science, assisting Professor Vasiliki Fouka. In 2020, Walter served as a Data Science Intern at Citizen Data. From 2021 to 2023, they worked at VoteAmerica, initially as a Data Analytics Fellow, then as a Data Analyst, and ultimately as a Data Analyst II. Currently, they are employed as a Data Engineer I at BlueLabs since 2023.

Walter May attended Stanford University from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. During their time at Stanford, they also pursued a minor in Statistics. In September 2021, they completed the Data Certification Program at State Voices, specifically the NGP VAN module.
