Rui Nian

Rui Nian is currently the Head of Technology at BlueMarvel AI. Prior to this role, Rui worked at Spartan Controls as an Advanced Process Control / Data Scientist. Rui also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alberta where they conducted research comparing control methods and built optimization systems for industrial applications. Additionally, Rui has interned at Mitacs and worked on machine learning projects for energy companies. Rui's background also includes co-op positions at CNRL, ARC Resources Ltd., and Alberta Health Services where they worked on data science, optimization, and bioinformatics projects. Rui holds a MSc. in Reinforcement Learning in Control and a BSc. in Chemical Engineering Co-op from the University of Alberta.
