Jim Baker

Jim Baker has extensive work experience in corporate affairs, market development, and communications. Jim currently holds the role of Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Blueprint Medicines since January 2021 and previously served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs from March 2017 to January 2021. Before joining Blueprint Medicines, Jim worked as an Executive Director of Market Development at Idera Pharmaceuticals from 2014 to 2017, Director of Corporate Communications at Sarepta Therapeutics in 2013, and Senior Manager of Global Public Affairs at Biogen from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate Director of Marketing Communications at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. from 2008 to 2011 and worked as an Account Supervisor at GCI Health from 2006 to 2008. Jim also has experience in health policy communications at United Cerebral Palsy from 2004 to 2006. Their career began in the US Army, where they served as a Captain from 1999 to 2004.

Jim Baker attended the University of Southern California from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a dual degree in Journalism and Political Science.
