BlueRock Therapeutics
Andy Tran is a Research Associate II at BlueRock Therapeutics since August 2022, with prior experience as a Research Assistant and MSc Researcher at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine from September 2016 to May 2022. In the Belsham Lab, Andy contributed to projects focused on the protective mechanisms of unsaturated fat in rodent hypothalamic models and the differentiation of human cells for metabolic research. As an MSc researcher, independent studies led to the identification of inflammatory markers related to high fat's lipotoxic effects. Previous teaching roles included a Teaching Assistant position at the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo, providing support in large undergraduate courses and organic chemistry experiments. Andy holds a Master of Science in Molecular Physiology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Immunology, Cell & Molecular Biology, along with a Bachelor of Science in Science from the University of Waterloo.
