Rocco Romagnuolo

Senior Scientist at BlueRock Therapeutics

Rocco Romagnuolo is a seasoned scientist with expertise in hiPSC cell and gene therapy, particularly within the field of cardiology. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at BlueRock Therapeutics since March 2020, Rocco leads a team focused on evaluating the regenerative capacity of hiPSC-cardiac cells in various animal models for heart failure. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientist-II and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University Health Network, where Rocco led a multidisciplinary team in developing novel therapies based on human pluripotent stem cells. Additionally, Rocco has a robust background in academia, having served as a sessional instructor and teaching assistant at the University of Windsor while completing a PhD in Biochemistry. Rocco also gained research experience at The Hospital for Sick Children as both a technician and student.
