Project Director - Advanced Steel Manufacturing Precinct (asmap) at BlueScope

Bridgette Carter has extensive work experience in the energy sector. Bridgette started their career as a Project Engineer at Tyco Environmental Systems in 2002. In 2003, they moved to BlueScope where they held various roles, including Energy Monitoring Analyst, Senior Energy Advisor, Manager of Energy Sourcing & Utilisation, and Manager of Energy Development. In these positions, they focused on energy contract negotiation, strategy execution, risk management, and market developments. In 2018, Bridgette joined the Energy Users Association of Australia as a Non-Executive Director and later became the Deputy Chair, representing large electricity and gas users and advocating for competitively-priced and reliable energy supply. Currently, they are working as the Project Director for the Advanced Steel Manufacturing Precinct at BlueScope, leading efforts to develop clean and renewable energy strategies for the company.

Bridgette Carter completed their Master of Professional Accounting (Distinction) from the University of Wollongong from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Materials) (Honours) from the same university from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their education, they also obtained certifications from the NAWO Mentoring Program in 2023, both as a mentee and a mentor.
