Martin Venter is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in capital allocation, climate change commercial strategies, and corporate finance. Currently serving as Manager of Group Capital Allocation & Climate Change Commercial at BlueScope since 2022, Martin previously held the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer at New Zealand Steel from September 2023 to February 2024. Martin has a strong background with BlueScope, where roles included Manager of Corporate Finance & Strategy from 2014 to 2021 and Vice President Commercial at NS BlueScope in early 2018. Previous experience includes Corporate Finance Manager at Deloitte from 2010 to 2014 and Senior Investment Analyst at Lone Star Funds from 2007 to 2010. Martin Venter holds a Chartered Accountant designation from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and earned an Honours degree in Finance from the University of Pretoria.
