Brad Atkinson

Brad Atkinson is the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer at Bluestem Brands. Brad has held this position since March 2007. Prior to that, they were the Controller at Bluestem Brands. Brad has been with the company since September 2021.

Atkinson is responsible for the management, supervision and leadership of financial accounting across all segments and brands, internal and external financial reporting and accounting policy, financial systems, consolidated FP&A, Paycheck Direct segment FP&A, procurement and contracts, tax, accounts payable and payroll. Brad has managed up to 90+ professionals and staff.

Their significant department responsibilities include:

-General accounting/month end close process

-Support of various transactions including debt/equity issuances and capital restructurings

- Internal management and board financial reporting

-Technical accounting research and documentation

-Support of acquisitions and divestitures

-Relationships with and management of external auditors

-Prepare SEC compliant quarterly and annual financial reporting

-Support and advise investor relations, CFO and CEO on quarterly earnings releases, call scripts and investor presentations

-Implementation and maintenance of general ledger system (Oracle EBS) and financial database system (Oracle Hyperion)

-Roll up of consolidated annual and quarterly forecasting and long range plans

-Detailed business line and corporate annual and quarterly forecasting and long range plans

-Federal income tax and state income, sales and business tax reporting and compliance

-Accounts payable and payroll processing

Brad Atkinson has a BS in Accounting from Marquette University.
