Dean Ashworth

Dean Ashworth has a diverse range of work experience in the field of product design and user experience (UX). Starting in 2006, Dean worked at Seagate Technology as a Senior UI Designer/Developer, leading a team and utilizing personas and usability studies for design direction. From 2010 to 2014, Dean worked at PayPal as a Senior UI Engineer/UX Designer, collaborating with a team to create mobile-friendly, responsive web applications using Agile methodologies. In 2014, Dean gained experience at Credit Sesame as a Senior UI Designer/Engineer, focusing on improving code quality and working closely with designers and engineers.

Dean then worked at Western Digital as a Senior UX Designer/Prototyper, helping define the personal cloud and building interactive prototypes. At Vendavo, Dean was hired as a Senior UX Designer/Prototyper for a critical 5-month contract role, contributing to the development of a new SaaS enterprise web application.

In 2016, Dean worked as a Senior UX Designer at Veritas Technologies LLC, providing design direction for an enterprise shared-services SaaS application and leading the establishment of Accessibility best practices. Following this, Dean served as a Lead UX Developer at Wiser Solutions, Inc., building responsive websites for a retail data analysis startup.

From 2017 to 2021, Dean worked at CACI International Inc., first as a Senior Principal UX Designer/Developer, leading web-based application design projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Later, Dean took on the role of Product Designer/UX Manager, offering UX design direction and managing a small design team. Dean also co-led the UX Community of Practice at CACI.

Most recently, Dean is working at Bluestone Analytics, a CACI Company, as the Head of Product Design. Dean is responsible for leading product design for Bluestone Analytics, building SaaS products with a nimble team, and continuing to co-lead the UX Community of Practice.

Dean Ashworth has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Art from Point Loma Nazarene University. Following that, they completed an Interaction Design Practicum from Cooper Professional Education in 2011. Dean'smost recent educational achievement is a Master's degree in User Experience Design from Kent State University, which they obtained between 2018 and 2020.
