Betty Tang

Betty T. is an experienced professional in the underwriting field, currently serving as the Team Lead for Underwriting at Bluevine since October 2017, where responsibilities include underwriting new small business clients and leading a team of underwriters. Betty has a strong background in strategic process improvements and cross-team collaboration. Previous positions held include Lead Underwriter, Senior Underwriter, and Risk Underwriter. Prior to Bluevine, Betty worked with the Associated Students of UC San Diego as a Records Manager and contributed as a Peer Mentor in the UC San Diego Economics Department's Peer Coach Program. Early experience includes roles as a Cashier in A.S. Soft Reserves & Lecture Notes and a Summer Assistant at ISI Precision Machinery. Betty holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Accounting from UC San Diego and a High School Diploma from Mission San Jose High School.
