Paul Balie

Paul Balie has over 40 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems, currently serving as the Lead Instrumentation Technician at Bluewater Energy Services since July 2002. In this role, Paul directs and coordinates the activities of the Instrument Team, ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of instrumentation while adhering to health, safety, environmental standards, and technical integrity. Paul's career in the oil and gas sector began in September 1980, with a notable offshore assignment on the FPSO Glas Dowr. Educational qualifications include an Industrial Instrumentation Trade Test completed in 1982 and advanced training from Pretoria College.
