Steve Borza

Steve Borza has extensive experience in various roles and industries. Steve started their career at Nortel as an Electronic Packaging Engineer, where they developed electronic packaging solutions and handled reliability qualification testing. Steve then moved on to work at the Ottawa Heart Institute, where they developed implantable electronic systems for artificial hearts and assisted with implant trials. Following that, Steve founded American Biometric Co., where they served as CTO, Vice President, and Founder. Steve achieved several industry firsts, including the development of the world's first fingerprint scanner for login to Windows NT and Solaris, as well as the world's first fingerprint scanner with an integrated smart card reader. Steve also developed a biometric + PKI single sign-on system. Steve then worked at Optenia as Director of Advanced Packaging, where they developed opto-electronic packaging and control systems. Steve also led a product development team in designing a c-band optical channel monitor. After that, they served as Director of Engineering at MXI Security, where they developed a secure mobile storage product platform and achieved FIPS 140-2 L3 certification. Next, they worked at Spotwave Wireless as the Director of Hardware Engineering before joining Deloitte as a Senior Manager specializing in R&D tax. Currently, Steve serves as the CEO and President of Bluink Ltd, an Identity and Access Management company that builds Identity Proofing and KYC solutions, as well as the eID-Me Sovereign Identity platform.

Steve Borza attended Gloucester High School from 1975 to 1981, although no degree or field of study information is provided. Following that, they studied at Carleton University from 1981 to 1985, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering.
