Ahmad Omari

Ahmad Omari is the VP, Data Engineering at BluLogix. Ahmad has over 16 years of experience in the IT industry and has held various positions in software engineering and enterprise architecture.

Ahmad started their career as an Enterprise Software Engineer at XPAND Corporation in 2010. There, they led the design and development of new and modified database modules, and provided an advisory role for the data modeling of several projects. Ahmad also participated in design and code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of methodologies to ensure high quality software. In addition, Ahmad maintained several data sets’ updates from different data sources, including ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) development from different format to ORACLE database. Ahmad also tuned the performance for SQL and PL/SQL code, installed and created databases for all stages of development, testing, staging and production, including RAC as high availability solution. Furthermore, they performed logical and physical backups, both hot and cold, some cases using RMAN, and in other cases using manual scripting and OS scheduled jobs. Lastly, Ahmad reviewed and tuned initialization parameters, memory structures and physical data layout for optimal performance.

In 2008, Ahmad left XPAND Corporation to join IBM Global Business Services as a Senior ETL Architect. There they worked for two years before joining BluLogix in 2010.

Ahmad Omari has a MSIS from Strayer University and a Bsc in Computer Engineering from Jami'at Al-Ulum wa Al-Tiknolojia Al-Urdunia.
