David Shiel

David Shiel has over 30 years of experience in internal audit and risk management. David is currently the Head of Internal Audit at B&M Retail, leading a team that works to mitigate risk and ensure efficient and effective processes. Prior to this, David held the same role at ConvaTec Group plc, where they managed a diverse international team. David also worked at EY as an Internal Audit Director, overseeing a team of 14 and handling a portfolio of clients. Earlier in their career, David held positions at Phones 4u, Deloitte, Arthur Andersen, and Asda, where they gained extensive experience in risk management and internal audit.

David Shiel earned a Professional Diploma in Business Administration from Warwick Business School from 1997 to 2000. David also obtained a Professional Diploma in Management Studies from The Open University in 1996 and a Certificate in Management Studies from Manchester University in 1993.
