Alex Commandeur

Alex Commandeur is an experienced professional with a strong background in privacy and data protection. Currently serving as Managing Consultant for Partner Privacy at BMC since October 2017, Commandeur also holds the position of Deputy Chair of the Personal Data Committee in Amsterdam and lectures on privacy law at Grotius Academie and the Institute for International Research. Previously, Commandeur was Head of Supervision in the Public Sector at the Dutch Data Protection Authority and led policy and support at the Public Prosecution Service from 2004 to 2008. Commandeur has also contributed as a juror for the Dutch Privacy Awards and is pursuing further education at Leiden University. Commandeur holds a master’s degree in law from Utrecht University.
