Philani Mthembu is an experienced electronic technician with a strong background in variable speed drives and motor repairs. Currently at Bearing Man Group (Pty) Ltd since November 2021, Philani specializes in the repairs and commissioning of variable speed drives and soft starters. Previously, Philani served as a Senior Technician at ZEST WEG Group, focusing on drives repairs and motor installation from August 2019 to October 2021. Before that, Philani worked as a Field Service Technician at Drives Workshop cc from March 2018 to August 2019, where responsibilities included the repair and commissioning of ABB variable speed drives. Philani began the career as a Service Technician (Trainee) at Abacus Automation Pty (Ltd) from August 2015 to July 2016, gaining foundational experience with Siemens PLCs, motors, HMI systems, and electrical panel wiring. Philani holds a National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Durban University of Technology, earned between 2012 and 2016.
