Matthias Kunz

Matthias Kunz has over a decade of experience in finance and controlling roles within the music and film industries. Matthias began their career at Odeon Film as a Business Controller and Executive Assistant from March 2007 to December 2008. Matthias then joined Warner Music Group as a Controller for Digital Sales from January 2009 to January 2011. Following this, they joined BMG - The New Music Company, where they held various leadership positions. Matthias served as a Senior Manager for Reporting & Controlling from February 2011 to April 2014, responsible for analyzing digital sales data and assessing sales strategies. Matthias then became a Senior Director for Reporting & Controlling from May 2014 to February 2018, overseeing financial reporting and controlling functions for European markets. Most recently, from March 2018 to August 2019, they served as Vice President of Finance at BMG, responsible for managing financial operations and strategies for the North America recording division.

Matthias Kunz completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in 2006. Matthias also obtained additional certifications in Music Business Management and Leadership from Berklee College of Music in 2021, Artist Management in the Music Business from Berklee College of Music in 2020, and Filmmaking from New York Film Academy in 1999.
