Ruth McConaghy

Ruth McConaghy is an experienced healthcare professional with a career spanning over 18 years in nursing and surgical assistance. Currently serving as a Team Leader and Surgical First Assistant at BMI Healthcare since May 2021, Ruth previously worked at Spire Healthcare Group plc as a Surgical First Assistant and Theatre Nurse from October 2018 to September 2021. Ruth's foundational experience includes roles at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where Ruth held positions as a Band 6 Nurse in Trauma and Orthopaedic Theatres, Band 6 Nurse with Frimley Outreach and Rehabilitation Team, and Staff Nurse in Orthopaedic Theatres from June 2007 to October 2018. Ruth began the nursing career at Belfast City Hospital as a Staff Nurse in Emergency Theatre from September 2005 to May 2007, following the attainment of a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Ulster at Magee between 2002 and 2005.
