Anyu Slofstra

Anyu Slofstra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and operations within the corporate finance and real estate finance sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at BMO since August 2015, Anyu leads the strategy and operations for significant business units in the Canadian Commercial Bank, overseeing a loan portfolio of approximately $40 billion and a team of about 150 employees across Canada. Prior roles at BMO include Senior Manager for North American Commercial Banking and Senior Technology Officer, where Anyu contributed to enhancing operational efficiencies and managing software development teams. Earlier experience includes analytical roles at the University of California, Davis, and the British Columbia Ministry of Health, along with a graduate research role at the University of British Columbia. Anyu holds a Master of Science in Management Science from the UBC Sauder School of Business, a Finance certificate from UC Berkeley Extension, and a Bachelor of Mathematics in Operations Research from the University of Waterloo.
