Jacob Sorensen

Jacob Sorensen currently serves as the Executive Vice President and U.S. Chief Technology & Operations Officer at BMO, a position held since February 2023. In this role, Jacob oversees the strategic governance of the Technology and Operations organization, ensuring alignment across various functions including Information Security and Data Analytics. Prior to BMO, Jacob was with Bank of the West from 2009 to 2023, where responsibilities included leading the integration of technology strategies and application development as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Jacob also held senior roles at JPMorgan Chase and NextCard, focusing on technology delivery, data infrastructure, and business intelligence solutions. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC Santa Barbara.
