John Buchta

John Buchta is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in sponsor finance. Currently serving as Managing Director at BMO Sponsor Finance since December 2022, John previously held various positions at BMO Harris Bank, including Director and Vice President within the Sponsor Finance division. Prior to BMO, John worked as a Business Development Manager at AMI Communications, Inc., and has a background in financing through roles at BMO Capital Markets and as an analyst focused on industrial sectors. Additionally, John co-founded True Hero Ties, a social enterprise donating a portion of sales to charity. John earned a BA in Economics and Spanish, cum laude, from DePauw University, and has foundational experience from an internship at Brunswick Group.
