Ken Schaerr

Ken Schaerr is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in information security management across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Cyber Security at BMO since February 2023, Schaerr directs teams responsible for cyber risk assessments, client inquiries, contract reviews, ISO27001 certification, regulatory compliance, and mobile application security. Prior to this role, Schaerr spent nearly eight years at Bank of the West as Vice President and Information Security Manager, where strong operational security controls were implemented. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Pearson, Transamerica, New Haven Residential Treatment Center, Novell, and WordPerfect Corporation. Schaerr holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from Brigham Young University.
