Sajida Mahdi Ali

Sajida Mahdi Ali is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Associate General Counsel & Vice President at BMO Financial Group since June 2012, providing support to the U.S. operations. Prior to this role, Sajida held the position of Senior Counsel & Vice President, delivering strategic legal support to the Special Assets Management Unit, particularly in commercial and corporate loan workouts, restructuring, and bankruptcy litigation. From September 2002 to June 2012, Sajida worked as Counsel at Mayer Brown, focusing on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy, where extensive experience included representing creditors and institutional lenders in complex chapter 11 cases and advising on distressed asset transactions. Sajida earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Classics from Northwestern University.
