Valerie Steele

Valerie Steele currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Corporate Audit at BMO Financial Group since June 2024. Additionally, Valerie has held the position of Vice-Chair on the National Board of Directors for the Canadian Cancer Society since January 2017. Prior to their current roles, Valerie was the Managing Director of the Professional Practice Centre for Corporate Audit at BMO Financial Group from January 2015 to February 2020 and served as a Director at the Canadian Public Accountability Board from 2010 to 2011. Valerie also was a Principal at DAVA Consulting Inc. from 2008 to 2010, specializing in financial solutions across various industries, and spent over a decade at KPMG Canada, ultimately achieving the position of Partner. Valerie's educational background includes completion of the Director's Education Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and degrees from Queen's University (BSc Hons, Pedology, Biology) and the University of Windsor (B Comm, Accounting/Finance).
