Wassim El Ouni

Wassim El Ouni is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in risk capital, model development, and analytics. Currently serving as VP & Head of Model Development, Production and Analytics at BMO since April 2017, Wassim has previously held roles such as Managing Director and Director in Investment & Corporate Banking at BMO Capital Markets. From February 2006 to October 2011, Wassim led the Credit Risk Models' Validation group at National Bank of Canada, overseeing the validation of the bank's credit risk models. Early in the career, Wassim worked as a Research Assistant at Université du Québec à Montréal while earning a Master of Sciences in Applied Finance. Wassim's credentials include a Financial Risk Manager certification from GARP and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Institut Supérieur de Gestion de Tunis.
