Mark Wippell

Mark became an Independent Trustee of the Employee Benefit Trust on 1 January 2023. Mark is a non-executive director of Deltex Medical Group PLC, a medical device company whose shares are traded on AIM, and provides challenge to the board of BUPA as one of its Association Members.

He mentors on Techstars’ Accelerator programs for early stage technology companies and is a member of the CW Innovation Advisory Group supported by CW+, the official charity of the Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.

He is a past Chairman of the American European Business Association and was formerly a Trustee of various charities. He was previously member of a number of advisory committees at Oxford University, including the Oxford University Court of Benefactors.

He was formerly a senior corporate partner of Allen & Overy, the global law firm where for many years he advised boards of UK, US, European and Asian businesses on commercial matters internationally and held senior management roles.

He is qualified as a lawyer in both the UK and US, and has lived, worked and studied in both countries. He is a graduate of Oxford University (MA) and Tulane University (LLM).
