BNIM
Rod Kruse FAIA LEED AP serves as Principal in Charge of the Des Moines office at BNIM Architects since December 2005, overseeing overall office management, business and client development, and project leadership. With a significant focus on higher education projects and private sector initiatives, Rod currently leads strategic efforts across all offices within One BNIM, including major projects at the University of Iowa. Prior to BNIM, Rod was a Principal at Herbert Lewis Kruse Blunck Architecture for 18 years, where a diverse portfolio in higher education, transportation facilities, and corporate office projects was developed. Earlier in Rod's career, as a Senior Designer and Project Architect at Bussard Dikis Associates, marketing responsibilities were also managed. Rod holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University, completed between 1970 and 1974, and is a graduate of Waverly Shell Rock High School.
