Berend Scholten

Berend Scholten is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the finance and asset management sectors. Currently serving as Head Of Legal for BNP Paribas Asset Management in the Netherlands since January 2020, Berend previously held roles at MN as Coordinator Legal Affairs and Senior Legal Counsel from 2009 to January 2020, and served as Director Professional Standards at INREV between 2007 and 2009. Additionally, Berend worked as Senior Legal Counsel at ING Real Estate from 1996 to 2007, practiced law as an Attorney at Houthoff Buruma from 1990 to 1996, and began a career in the Koninklijke Marine as a KMR Officer from 1988 to 1990. Berend’s educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Dutch Civil Law from the University of Groningen and completion of the Beroepsopleiding Advocaten.
