Gilles Vanel

Gilles VANEL is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and risk assessment. Currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Portfolio Solutions for Private Assets at BNP Paribas Asset Management since January 2023, Gilles previously held the position of Chief Investment Officer at Bnpp Principal Investments from October 2021 to January 2023. Gilles's career at BNP Paribas spanned over two decades from January 2000 to October 2021, during which time responsibilities included Risk Officer and Co-Head of Leverage Finance in Paris, as well as Deputy Head of Leveraged Finance. Academically, Gilles holds an FCA-approved qualification in UK Financial Regulation from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a DESS in Financial Management and Taxation from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. Additional education includes a degree from ISG Institut Supérieur de Gestion.
