Michael Valihora has extensive legal and compliance experience in the asset management sector, serving as Head of Legal APAC and Head of Legal Asia (ex-Japan) at BNP Paribas Asset Management since December 2008, while also holding roles as Deputy Chief Legal Officer. In August 2022, Michael Valihora was the Interim Head of Legal for BNP Paribas Asset Management North America. Prior experience includes positions as Director of Compliance and Senior Counsel at Affiliated Managers Group, Director at Trails Youth Initiatives, Manager of Compliance at TD Asset Management, Associate at McCarthy Tetrault, and VP & General Counsel at Fundmonitor.com. Michael Valihora holds an LL.M. in International Trade & Transactions from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and an LL.B. from the University of Windsor.
