Johanna Lasker was appointed CEO of BNP Paribas Asset Management USA January 1, 2021.

In her new role, Ms. Lasker is responsible for BNPP AM's strategy, leadership, governance and regulatory matters, a news release said Wednesday. She has also retained her previous title as head of official institutions for BNP Paribas Asset Management upon the appointment. As head of official institutions, Ms. Lasker oversees an investor client segment that includes government and quasi-qovernment institutions, such as central banks, sovereign wealth funds, government agencies and supranational investors around the world.

Johanna has over 18 years of investment experience. In addition to working for BNP Paribas Asset Management and FFTW, Johanna worked in the Corporate Finance division at UBS for two years, where she was an Associate Director in the Consumer Products Group in New York. She later transferred to the Global Industrial Group in Japan where she lived for a year.

She earned an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University, and a BA in East Asian Studies from Stanford University.
