Maarten Matzer

Maarten Matzer is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in corporate banking and climate analytics. Currently serving as Managing Director - Climate Analytics & Alignment and Sector Lead at BNP Paribas since September 2010, Maarten is instrumental in advancing the bank's climate commitment and developing methodologies for carbon exposure and reduction monitoring. Previous roles include Regional Head Credit Solutions for Asia Pacific, where Maarten managed a significant credit function and implemented ESG risk management tools. Maarten also held director positions at RBS Global Banking & Markets and ABN AMRO Bank, focusing on corporate finance advisory and capital structuring.
