Sal Marraccino

Sal Marraccino serves as Divisional Chief Data Officer and Managing Director at BNY Mellon since May 2023. Previously, from February 2020 to May 2023, Sal held the position of Head of Enterprise Data Governance & Architecture at Verizon, focusing on data value maximization through policies and enterprise data fabric development. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Chief Data Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from January 2017 to February 2020, where Sal advanced data management principles and transformed statistics functions to support economic policy decisions. At Goldman Sachs, from January 2008 to December 2016, Sal worked as Executive Director of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, establishing a team to enhance operations and reduce regulatory risk. Sal also held notable roles at Merrill Lynch, including Testing Automation Team Lead, achieving significant cost reductions through automation. Sal earned an MBA in Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management from Stony Brook University.
