Donald Robinson, PhD, PE, CSP, ARM-E, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in safety, health, and environmental management. Currently serving as Director At Large for the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, Donald has been involved in establishing standards for safety accreditation since January 2020. Donald's academic contributions span several decades as an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where doctoral studies were completed in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. Previous roles include Executive Director of Environmental Health and Safety and Emergency Management at the University of Massachusetts, and managerial positions at General Electric, where Donald led occupational safety initiatives and advanced manufacturing operations. Donald holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, an MS in Engineering Management, and a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) represents the gold standard in safety certification with the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) - the internationally accredited safety certification recognized by safety professionals as the industry's most prestigious credential. BCSP also manages the Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technicians (OHST), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC), and Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) safety certifications.
