Pamela Cannell

Pamela Cannell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and administration. Currently serving as the Founding CEO and Director of Advancement at BoardBuild since July 2018, Pamela has developed an innovative platform that fosters board-level relationships for leaders and nonprofit organizations. Prior to this role, Pamela was the Executive Director of the Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Coalition from July 2012 to July 2019, where efforts focused on water safety education and drowning prevention. Additional experience includes a position as Partner Expert and Director of Marketing & Communications at Leadership Fort Worth, where the concept for BoardBuild was established, and as Association Manager at the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Earlier career highlights include serving as President of Transcription, Etc. and working in grants administration at UT Southwestern Medical Center and LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans. Pamela holds a Postgraduate Degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
