TD Smyers

TD Smyers serves as the Chief Executive Officer of BoardBuild since March 2022, where efforts focus on delivering an industry-leading training and matching platform for nonprofit board members and social sector organizations nationwide. As an Executive Coach with A Bold Leader and Hand & Associates, Inc. since late 2021 and 2019 respectively, Smyers utilizes over 30 years of executive leadership experience to mentor emerging executives in strategic succession and leadership development. Previously, as Chief Executive Officer of Simple Leadership Strategies and United Way of Tarrant County, Smyers successfully led significant organizational growth and transformation initiatives. Experience in the nonprofit sector is complemented by a leadership role at the American Red Cross and significant military service as Commanding Officer of Naval Air Station Fort Worth, where strategic operational management and resource acquisition were pivotal to mission success. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and a Master's in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University.
