Usam Shen

Usam Shen has worked in various software and IT-related roles since 2003. Usam started their career at CSL as a software engineer and then worked as a software manager at Ultra Group. From 2010 to 2021, they worked at Steelcase, first as an IT service manager and then as an innovation leader. As an innovation leader, they encouraged the adoption of design thinking philosophies across the company, hosted design thinking workshops, and explored and prototyped up-to-date technologies such as 5G, AI, IOT, Web3, ARVR, etc. In 2021, they founded and became the CEO of boardx.us.

Usam Shen attended Guangdong Poly of Water Resources and Electric Engineering from 2000 to 2003, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study during this time. In 2017, Usam obtained certifications in Design Thinking: Implementing the Process from LinkedIn, Design Thinking: Understanding the Process from Lynda.com, Design Thinking: Prototyping from LinkedIn, and Guy Kawasaki on Entrepreneurship from LinkedIn.
