Ian Bentley

Ian Bentley is the CEO, CTO, and cofounder of Common Sense Software, a position held since August 2022. In addition to this role, Ian serves as a Connector at Boardy starting January 2025 and previously worked as a Mentor and Instructor at Lighthouse Labs from January 2022 to January 2023. Ian also held the title of Principal Technical Mentor at App Academy from March 2020 to March 2021, where responsibilities included mentoring and leading students and educational staff. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at the Writers Guild of America East from October 2017 to March 2020. Ian Bentley holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Queen's University and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Victoria.
