Jaime Vara

CEO & Co founder at Boatjump

Jaime Vara has a diverse range of work experience. From 2016 onwards, they served as the CEO and Co-founder of Boatjump, an online platform for boat rentals. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Barcelo Hotels & Resorts, where they analyzed hotel development opportunities and actively searched for new projects. From 2014 to 2015, they served as an International Business Advisor at ICEX, working at the Spanish Consulate in Guangzhou, China, where they searched for clients and business opportunities for Spanish companies. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Account Auditor at Ernst & Young, where they planned audits, reviewed internal controls, and applied International Financial Reporting Standards for international companies. Lastly, in 2010 and 2011, they were involved in the Cátedra de Empresa Familiar at Universidad de Salamanca.

Jaime Vara pursued their education in business administration, starting with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Universidad de Salamanca from 2006 to 2010. During this time, they also participated in the Erasmus Program at the Internation Business School in Brighton for the academic year 2008-2009. Following their undergraduate studies, Jaime furthered their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Universidad de Salamanca from 2010 to 2011. Jaime then pursued an additional MBA degree at Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, specializing in International Business, from 2012 to 2013.
